A (Supply and Demand Chain) Pro You Should Know
As you know, Supply & Demand Chain Executive recently announced their Pros To Know for 2007. Like Jason, I think some names were missing from that list. Jason pointed out that Mickey North Rizza and Mark Hillman were conspicuously absent.
Today I make my first nomination to the Pros You Should Know - But Don't - List. The blogger's supplement to the incomplete Supply & Demand Executive List. That individual is Jean-Philippe Massin, former CEO of Eutilia, and editor of www.massin.nl="" esourcing="" target="_blank">Strategic Sourcing | Europe. Jean-Philippe is one of the few bloggers on the other side of the Atlantic working hard to spread the Spend Management message over in Europe and needs to be recognized for that commitment.

Wow, thanks for that Michael, I'm honored and take your post as an incentive to keep on sharing my experience, know-how and thoughts with everyone, as much as I can.
Jean-Philippe
Why do you think that e-sourcing and other new technologies in procurement are not so spread in EU?
e.g. I am from Czech Republic and here when some company does the e-bidding. It can be named as "Best-in-class" company.
Michael, I certainly applaud giving more recognition to the overlooked experts who continue to drive the industry forward. However, given that this is the blogosphere (as opposed to a sanitized trade publication), I'm surprised that no one has yet suggested the creation of a "Pros To Avoid" or "Pros You're Glad You Don't Know" counterpoint. It could include a rogues gallery of executives with questionable ethics (a la Enron), likely a few government procurement agents, and possibly an out-of-touch industry blowhard or two. Perhaps the Spend Fool could take a stab -- if nothing else, it would make for a lively online discussion
Kevin:
Great Idea! Maybe this should be the focus of that blog you are going to start, eh?
